Developed by Bioware, Star Wars: the Old Republic is a free-to-play MMORPG Set in the star Wars universe. The game mixes the classic MMORPG Gameplay with a single-player game level compelling storyline which take place 3000 years before the classic films and 300 years later the events of Knights of the Old Republic. Players will take the role of a Jedi, a Sith, a Smuggler, a Bounty Hunter or one of the many other available iconic roles from the Star Wars saga.

Star Wars: the Old Republic lets you explore and fight in space in a lot of different missions piloting several spaceship models. This combat experience will put you on a direct course towards your objective and you'll maneuver your ship through obstacles and deal with enemies that cross your path. . By succeeding in these missions, you'll obtain rewards that will be useful in other aspects of the gameplay experience. In addition, as you gain levels, the missions' difficulty will rise, while the rewards become better. These missions offer numerous objectives such as escort a valuable ship or destroy a dangerous target.

Players will join one of the two iconic factions of the saga: the Galactic Republic or the Sith Empire. Each faction offers different classes each one with its very own storyline that can change according to player's in-game choices and which, at a certain point of its progression, can specialize itself in 2 different advanced classes, bringing the total playable roles up to 16. The Empire's classes are Bounty Hunter, Sith Warrior, Imperial Agend and Sith Inquisitor. On the Republic side you'll find the Trooper, Jedi Knight and Jedi Consular.

The companions in this title are not just your usual MMORPG's pet, they have their very own personality and a view of the players that will evolve as their progress in their story. They will become real friends of the players, helping them in their adventures, supporting them during fights and providing them information or commentary throughout their travels.
